I have an existing exchange account. How can I transfer it to Refback?

Exchanges like Bitget, Okex, Bybit, and others allow you to close your account and create a new one or transfer your identity information to a new account. You can sign up with our referral code and transfer your identity details to the new account.

For other exchanges:

Short answer: Unfortunately, you most likely won't be able to transfer it.

Long answer: Unfortunately, exchanges usually do not favor changing the referral codes of accounts that have undergone identity verification. As a result, it's generally not possible to transfer your existing exchange account to Refback. However, if you haven't completed identity verification yet, you can close your account and open a new one with a Refback referral code. For those with verified accounts, we can only suggest the following options: Open a new exchange account using the Refback referral code and verify your identity through a trusted contact. Join one of the other exchanges supported by Refback using the Refback referral code and conduct your transactions there. We understand that these two options may not be ideal, but unfortunately, we currently cannot offer a better recommendation.

How are balances calculated?

Firstly, let's address a common source of confusion for some of our users: Commission fees and referral earnings are not the same thing. Referral earnings represent only a portion of the commission fee: Commission Fee: This is the fee you pay to the exchange for the trades you make. It varies depending on the type of trade and your exchange's fee structure. Referral Earnings: This is the amount that your exchange pays to the person who referred you, and it corresponds to only a portion of your commission fees. Refback reflects your earnings based on the referral fees you generated for them. Here's an example calculation: Let's say you made a trade with a volume of $1000, and you paid a $1 commission fee to the exchange for that trade. If your exchange has a referral earnings rate of 45%, the person who referred you would earn $0.45. If your account was opened through a Refback referral, you can receive a $0.45 refund from us.

My balance hasn't been updated. Why?

Balances are checked and updated during the last week of each month. If you suspect that your balance hasn't been updated, please confirm the following: Are you sure you signed up for the relevant exchange(s) using the Refback link or referral code? Have you correctly entered your exchange IDs in the Refback interface? Have you made trade transactions on the relevant exchanges that involve leaving trading fees? If you can confirm all of the above and still believe there is an issue, please contact us at [email protected] using your registered email address and provide details of at least one transaction that you believe should have been recorded in the system, including the date and market type. Our team will investigate and get back to you.

My balance is lower than I expected. Why?

Potential reasons: Firstly, please keep in mind that in some exchanges, it can take up to 3 days for earnings to be reflected in reports. You may not be charged a commission fee for your transactions. Exchanges can occasionally offer commission discounts or even waive them entirely on certain markets. If you don't pay a commission fee to your exchange, your Refback balance won't increase. Therefore, you should verify whether you are paying commissions in the pairs you are trading and whether you are under any discount coupon or similar promotional campaign. Refback does not have the capability to investigate and interact with exchanges for users who have doubts in this regard. Please take action on your own and, if necessary, obtain the information you need from your exchange's fee pages or contact their support team. Furthermore, it's essential to understand that Refback does not directly calculate your earnings. Refback doesn't have access to most exchanges' information regarding your trades and volume. Your referral earnings are reported to Refback by your exchange. Therefore, Refback cannot make calculation errors because it doesn't perform any calculations.

How often are balances updated?

Balances are typically updated monthly on most exchanges, and payments are reflected in the user's wallet on Nodeist.net during the last week of the month. Afterward, you can initiate a withdrawal request.
